Just curious...have any of the Denon owners added a larger HDD to the unit yet? If you have, can you recommend a good hard drive for it? Does anyone know the maximum size it will take?

Thanks.

120gb has been the largest it would take. I've read somewhere though that since the update, it can take larger, unless thats just the DNHS 5500

I spoke to a high up Denon person who came over from Germany a few ago, and he advised me on a 120 gb Western Digital Scorpio hdd, but I couldn't find one suitable for the HD2500 in that range at the time.

I did mine about 6 months ago. I upgraded to a 120Gb, but can't remember the make off hand.

I'll have a look and get back to you Shaun.

Despite several gigs using CD format again, I've done a complete U-Turn so I can go back to digital. I've bought the licence (grudgingly). From this point on the plan is to buy all music online instead of CD, so there should be no need for a licence next year.

Keep up at the back..........:p

Just found the Western Digital Scorpio hdd (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-147-WD&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=304&name=Western%20Digital%20Scorpio%20Blue%20120GB%20 5400RPM%20ATA-100%208MB%20Cache%20-%20OEM%20(WD1200BEVE)) and there is no difference I can see between this one and darrens link. The scorpio hdd is slightly cheaper but thats about it.

They're both Scorpio. The one you linked to is cheaper though.
