Looks like I might finally get on the road next year. A work colleage has asked me to do her 50th birthday. Apparently it was actually her husbands Idea to book me. According to her his actual words were. "Get that fella who did your sisters wedding. He plays a good mixture of stuff." He didn't remember it was me.

So all I need to do now is sort out an amp, a pair of speakers, a mixer (if the one I have isn't working) and then sort out getting the sound from my (our:whistle: ) laptop. Oh and not forgetting some stands.

For lights I'm thinking an Acme Duet on one side and and led effect for the other. Would also like to get another led effect to point behind me. For the laptop, is it possible to use two soundcards or does this depend on the software. I'm also going to invest in an external hard drive to put my music collection on. There's also some gaps from the last few years to fill in on my collection

Its amazing how many friendly the family become when they find out you have a disco.
Will you do a disco for us ?
Free of charge of course ?

Of course it never ends there if you do.
Friends, friends of friends etc etc

I know I may have become part of the furniture where I work but I certainly wouldn't call my work colleagues family.:D :D :D

I don't care where it ends as long as they pay.

Incidentallly, there's been no mention of money yet. She knows I'm trying to set up again.
