My New Second Home...

Hi Folks

Im very excited as me and the wife have just purchased our first static caravan in Brean, Somerset. :D
Ever since we were both redcoats back in the day we had always said we would purchase a caravan one day, so were over the moon we have finally managed to get one.
As the caravan is 6 years old we have a company going in this week to re -upholster the sofa and hang new curtains so should be like new when we return in a few weeks.

So if any of you are down this way give me a call and pop in for a beer or two. :beer1:

We are about 10mins walk away from the fair.:p

To be honest I have been getting stick at work from the lads about how close it is as I live in WSM and it only takes me 25mins to get to my caravan, but to be honest we have had many holidays in Brean over the years and love it there.

We are planning to hire the van out next year to help pay for the ground rent as well as enjoying it for ourselves.
We didnt want to purchase a caravan which would take over 2 hours to get to as myself and the wife both have busy work lives throughout the week and believe it or not its a great escape when your sitting outside the van on a Friday night with a cold beer in your hand watching the world go by..

Most of the boys in work here think I have a shire horse tired up to my caravan and I go out collecting metal and iron on the weekends. :p

I have just spoken to the lord high pikey master on the phone and much pleased by the actions of his young apprentice he is :D :D :D :D :D

I too own a touring caravan. When towing it with the van we really do look like gypos. It is a good cheap fun way of holidaying and I am sure that with times getting tight there will be a greater number of people doing it again. On rare occasions I have used it when doing gigs to stay over for the night.
