As many of you are aware tomorrow night sees the very last performance from Dragonfly discos
It'll be an end of an era and very much the dj worlds loss.
I've known Dave a couple of years now but it seems like forever :D
I'd just like to say thanks for all the help and advice you've given from before I moved over from Belfast right up until last sunday at BPM!
Well, our loss is Great Britains gain as Dave will be flying the flag at London 2012 in the wheechair rugby and I for one will be cheering him on.
Would have been good to celebrate with a beer tonight at Darrens but i'm sure we'll catch up soon (hope Nickies on ther mend)
Best of Luck for the future mate ;)
ps- when can I pick up the stand and moving heads :p :D :D

I indeed hope to master the art of :

training twice a week with the midlands based team the marauders.
the big question.... what to finish with tomorrow night?? my way is far too obvious ..... considering queens dragon attack?

Good Luck with wherever your new life takes you. :) Please do keep us on our toes on here, it would be awfully dull at times without you. I'm guessing you'll PM me with details of where to send the cheque for the Shure.
All the best mate.
PS. Whenever you decide to return to the DJ game, I'm sure it'll only take a day or two to gather up enough kit for you to restart. ;) ;) :D :D

As everyone as said, all the best Dave.
I wonder how long before you start to miss the routine. I guess six months then you'll be reaching for the mic.

One less cr@p DJ to contend with now....:D :D :D :D :D :beer1:
It'll be an end of an era and very much the dj worlds loss.
He lost that over 6 months ago in hospital...... :D
I've known Dave a couple of years now but it seems like forever :D
You wanna try speaking to him on the phone.....goes on forever....
I'd just like to say thanks for all the help and advice you've given from before I moved over from Belfast right up until last sunday at BPM!
Wish you would go back....one less again...:D
Well, our loss is Great Britains gain as Dave will be flying the flag at London 2012 in the wheechair rugby and I for one will be cheering him on.
Makes note in diary for another gig date.....
Would have been good to celebrate with a beer tonight at Darrens but i'm sure we'll catch up soon (hope Nickies on ther mend)
He's in the chair if we do.......:beer1:
Best of Luck for the future mate ;)
Whatever....
ps- when can I pick up the stand and moving heads :p :D :D
Know how you feel Paul......:D :D :D :D
On a serious note......sad loss for the people in Derby wanting a quality DJ.
I've known Dave for 2 years now....and we have had a lot of laughs along the way.
I've learnt no end of stuff off this man and he's also given me time when ever for advice and help in all areas of DJing....(he also sold me his cr@p gear :beer1: ).....:D
So ....for the last time tonight 'Have a good one'.....and don't damage those Mackies.....:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :beer1: :beer1: :beer1: :beer1:
We will have to make some time at Pikeyville (and you Paul) in the summer.....:)

what makes you take this step ?
Do you actually read the forum? (Poor choice of words too :sj:)
Logistics, since Dave had his leg off setting up has become more difficult than anticipated & the cost of hiring a roadie isn't viable.

:D :D :D :D :D Watch out for footloose Entertainment coming to a town near you :D :D :D :D :D :D
well it's 10.30am Tony and paul why is my house still full of gear ?? :D :D :D :D
last gig awsome again back to basics no clever dj trying to play something different to the norm just 8-12 of floorfillers and thats what we had full floor.
bottle of champers from the venue who are this week going to price round for an intall :D :D :D
and also a guy who deals with hospital radio was there and asked me to go in for a chat with him as he felt i could offer something.......
so the dragon has merely gone into hibernation at this point ..... we will see what develops.
