What an excellent show. Sounded just like the original tracks with no "extra" bits added to the songs.

They sounded really good but was a shame that the vocals were a bit on the low side but on the whole, what a gig. :D:D:D

Boom Boom! I loved them and all the other early 70's sweet soul bands like Blue Magic, The Dells, The Intruders, The Joneses, Delfonics etc. If it was produced by Thom Bell you knew it was gonna be good.

I went to see Level 42 a couple of weeks ago and it hurts me to admit it, as they are very dear to my heart, but I was somewhat underwhelmed. They were very competent but it all got a bit samey.

Last friday i was booked by one of my regular hotels to do a free aftershow party, following a charity film premier of the new james bond film.

Suddenly the dance floor started to overflow, we had two of the stylistics and a group of what seemed to be crew, dancing away to third world.

They were staying in the hotel and had been relaxing in the restaurant after their show.

They stayed on the floor for the final hour and a half (which packed the room):)
we went through the 60s & then 70s discos and ended with Dj otzi Hey baby (Which they went crazy for) and then gave ME a round of applause :eek: :D

I too am a big fan of Level 42 and went to see them at the Marlow a few years ago, and sadly came away feeling very much the same as yourself.
