What a week. :(

Almost set fire/electricuted myself with my mackie sub that thought it would try it's hand at being a pyrotechnic. More on that later.

Went out to the van today, and noticed the side door not shut right, but the door was locked. Unlocked the door, and tried to shut it again, it wouldn't shut, it's like the door is bent. All that was in the van was a ramp i use to wheel heavy loads in and out. I'd obvoiusly tried to shut the door with the ramp blocking the door, the last time I used the van. Dropped the van off at the garage and they reckon the door is bent or the door/brackets/runners are knocked out of alignment.

It's shaping up to be an expensive and depressing week. :zip:

It's not a Peugeot Boxer/Ciroen Relay/Fiat Ducatto by any chance?
I have a Boxer and the side doors are built broken from the factory:(
Mine's an ex minibus from the school I work at, even on our new buses the side doors are rubbish. Something the French *really* cannot do is make decent doors on big vans!
6 tansits previous to that, everyone rusted away but all the doors closed properly, even occasionaly locked:eek:

Hope your week gets better mate!:)

I hope my week gets better too. Just in from setting up at a regular school gig (a few trips back and forth with the car). Tried testing the smoke machine = broken. :bang:

The van's a Vauxhall Vivaro.

Probably still French then. I believe it's a Renault with a Vauxhall badge. So is the Nissan.

Reckon you'd be able to find a little space for this in the motor. I'd get it quick, before Saturday. Best be ready when you plug those toasters in;)

I do believe Mr Brown is implying that I have not noticed his total disregard of my helpful posts due to him being blissfully somnolent, and me being deaf to his snores. I am bemoaning the fact that he is intentionally unwilling to take sensible preventative action, based on my helpful advice.

Clear? :D

Just to finish off this thread.....

Smoke machine decided to die on me, it's one of those big 3000 watt heater ones, weighs a ton, so sending it for repair willl cost me more in postage than it'll be to buy a new one (slight exaggiration, but probably close)

Sliced my finger badly...in 2 places.

Knocked the nice big expensive looking wall clock off the wall of the school hall (don't ask I have no idea how either)

&...I think that's about it for last night. Today, I'm staying indoors locked away from anything remotely breakable. **edit** Brothers just called to see if I want to go for a pint or 5. Eek, could be dangerous considering my track record for mishaps this week.

Almost forgot...broke one of the brakes of the wheel of my ultimax stand last night.

WHAT A WEEK!!

I did point out in the interests of balance, that for each person who says They overheat, another says they don't. ;)

Your wisecrack was equally likely to be a request for elucidation, as it was a sarcastic joke. Up till now I thought better of you. :( :p

I agree with Rob. And whatever you do Shaun, the way you've been breaking things lately, be very careful when you go to the toilet!

No idea as yet. I'll be sending it away for repair, so I'll know soon enough.

-------------------------------

Well, today has been uneventful(i.e. no more breakages), although I did visit an elderly friend of the family today, a minute after she had to smash a window to get in after locking herself out. I guess the "breakage" bug is catching!

Good News! I got the van back. Problem now fixed. I was expecting a huge bill but got a pleasant surprise. :)
