6 weeks ago our microwave died. We went looking for a small cheap and easy to use one and ended up buying a Matsui from Currys for £30. It worked OK and we were happy. This weekend it has developed a fault where when you close the door it doesnt always make contact; so it doesnt operate. Jan paid cash and had thrown the receipt away! After I had chided her we put it in the back of the car and went back to the store where I spoke to a nice young man at customer services and explained the circumstances. I was able to tell him that we had bought it on a Friday evening about 6 weeks ago at about 6pm. He looked it up on their back office system and agreed to exchange it for another. We've chose a Russell Hobbs this time which cost us an extra £20.
We are often quick to moan about service; so I just thought I would take the opportunity to say well done Currys.

The moral of this story is that if you want an easy life, it's not just disco gear receipts you should keep.
