Are you forgetting they were playing Germany at home, granted there weren't a load of English stars playing but some good technical football was played and far from predictable even if it was less than exciting they went out with the intentions of getting the job done.

No i'm not.....but what a blunder.....!

Result alright...but the blunder took the edge off a really good game.

...but we always let ourselves down.....shouldn't happen at that level IMO. :)

No it shouldn't happen but it did and he made up for it with some good saves.
Things happen in games but at the end of the day they got a good result.
The times I have watched Manu and been frustrated like hell but at the end they have won the game and eventually won the title.

At least it was a friendly and didn't really make a huge difference, its better to get the teething problems out now than in a world cup.

I'm not saying they didn't get a good result.....but at that level you should not make mistakes like that....after all they get paid enough.....
Typical England game for me....score one and sit back.....lose one and then do something......

Having played many a long season in central defence, it really comes down to what communication there was between keeper and Terry. We were not privvy to what calls(if any) were made. I would have been inclined to stick it in row Z and then give the keeper a right gobfull for being much too slow off his line.In all honesty, with the ball coming over your shoulder as it was, you really rely on the keeper to help you out, even if its just with a call, as he's looking straight at the ball, and can see what's coming up behind the centre half, straight after this incident, there was another where Carson wasn't doing his job, and sweeping up behind the centre backs, this is probably down to a lack of confidence, not helped by playing behind a shaky WBA defence - if you look at last Saturdays Chelsea game, he was at fault for two of the goals.

I thought they did alright apart from the aforementioned **** up.

Lots of passing and moving and a few good efforts on goal and the left side looked much better with Downing there.
