Can I borrow you lot for a little bit of market research for the 'day job'?

I only need the answer to 1 simple question, and if as many people as possible could spare 10 seconds, it would be very much appreciated:

What would you type in to a search engine if you were looking for someone to carry out the legal work when buying or selling your house?

THANKS!

Griefmonger Isle of Wight probably :p

I'd probably start with conveyancing <area name> if I didn't already know the name of a practice I'd like to use.

Conveyancing would be the main term, and probably the area to follow.

Great guys.... keep 'em coming! ;) (Actually, I am surprised that everyone is saying 'conveyancing', since whenever I answer the question "What do you do?", if I answer "Conveyancer", half the time I get blank looks and a "What's that then?" reply. )

I think if I was putting into a search engine I would ask for house purchase or house selling solicitor, if I was looking in Yellow pages or similar I would look for solicitor conveyancing.
