Hi Guys,

Smidge here. I'm just starting out in the game having been a frontman for a function band and an actor/director in hundreds of theatres for the last 13 years. I've been working as a teacher for the last 6 years and it's practically killed me and this is something i've always thought of getting involved in so here goes.

I've been lurking in the shadows and reading your posts and you guys sound like you have tons of experience and knowledge so here's the question: When starting out, what should i think about?

I know that's an open and ambiguous question but i figured if a few of you learned soldiers of the disco karaoke game chimed in with some advice we could get it all covered. I'm thinking equipment, documents (PLI, Insurance etc), business ideas and the like.

I'd really appreciate any advice you could give me.

I'm based in The Mighty North East by the way, Durham to be exact.

Thanks guys,

Smidge

right first of all your going to need music, building a good collection will take time, same with the karaoke tracks, no point buying these 26cd+g packs off ebay, their rubbish.

equipment, for speakers get onto the class d website ect ect.

for questions like this i would post in the mobile disco forum or karaoke forum, this part of the forum is for saying welcomes ect ect,
