After i have been djing at a gig i come home and find it very difficult to sleep.....then when i do eventually get to sleep i dream about the gig and think i am still djing which causes me to wake up as i think i am still working.....this happened to me last night....I also think about the songs i have played or maybe even the ones i maybe missed....it must have been 5am before i got to sleep and forgot about it....
Just wondering if this happens to anyone else or if i am maybe just wierd???? hahaha

I don't tend to think (or dream) about discos when I get home, but it does take me a few hours to 'wind-down' before I can get to sleep. I've seen me still wide awake at 5 or 6 in the morning.

I think it's probably the adrenalin keeping you awake.
It's probably best when you come home to just sit down with a cup of tea and watch a bit of telly or read for a while to give yourself a chance to unwind.

I've never had a dream about a gig or had problems getting to sleep after one.
Maybe that's because I don't go to bed for an hour or two after getting home.

I didnt lastnight due to being a taxi but still found it hard getting to sleep when i got home.....maybe i should stay up longer until i switch off....

I generally have a nightcap when I get in and even sometimes a snack and might watch a bit of TV then I sleep like a log.

It must be terrible waking up from the dream.....and realising that you wont get paid for that gig. :d

I tend to get insomnia a lot when I have several gigs on the trot. Usually spent worrying about next night. And yes have had plenty of dreams that I am DJ'ing only to wake up and realise im at home in bed. Very dissorientating

I had a dream that I was home in bed, when I woke up I was DJing. Most embarrassing :sj:

Well at the moment, I'm having a Nightmare.

When I've finished it, I'll probably have another one. And when my barrel's empty, I'll go to bed.

Same here, find it difficult to unwind, normally flick through the sky channels, take a browse at teletext, check emails etc until my eyes get heavy !
