I thought there was only about 20% off everything?

Or has it increased now?

You know were in the :Censored: when you've got the likes of Wollies going under.

Absolutely everything has to be sold. Some stores are even selling the fixtures and fittings!

its not good that the stores are closing but if people werent buying its no good saying "i will really miss them"- be sentimental doesnt put cash in their till.

ultimately they didnt have a profitable business- they wont be the last either.

Good point, its like my brother said..."What died you ever go into wollies for" and it occured to me that it was a good 6 months since was last in there. And even longer since i bought anything. HMV put them under round here.

If thats the case, I want to place a bid on one of those eletric doors. I used to say "open sesame" and the doors would open. I was 8 mind you.

Would be cool to put them on the front of the house. :D

I work for the company that installed and maintained those auto doors on woolies... What would you like tom?? a nice sliding door or a swing door. Woolies had a good account with us but as soon as this all materialised it was cash up front for any maintanance calls.

Its it really going to be a minimum 50% off this time?

I've been caught out twice now by the radio/press saying this - only to turn up and see 10-20% off most things then 50% off greetings cards!

Think I might head down for 9.01AM though cant resist a bargin with my xmas tips.......

Is it really worth it though- lets say you spend £100 and save £50 but wait in a queue for an hour- is that worth the hassle?

I'd rather buy the same stuff online - I imagine you could find it for similar price....

I can't remember which paper it was but Theo Paphitis said that it was a surprise that Woolies had held on this long and the it was inevitable in the current climate.
