I use BPM Studio Pro and VDJ. I did try SAM a while ago and must confess to having a soft spot for it but it wasn't up to the pro standard i'm used to.

SAM has a number of similarities with Swift Elite 4 but SWE4 is more versatile. SAM is perfect for unattended background music, though, as it's Auto DJ function with playlist rotation and weighting is excellent!

I used to use Sam party , good software, but the interface was very old and inflexible.
I now use ultramixer pro 2 from http://www.ultramixer.com/index.php?c=umapp&uma=10

I bought mine direct from Alcatech a few years ago. It was part of a package with a controller (DAC-2 type unit although I don't use it now) and cost around £599 (I think). Few glitches with Vista but I believe the latest version is fully Vista compatible.

PCDJ Blue VRM is quite good if you want something simple that will do the job for not much money.

That's what I use. Great, don't use some of the features, just pitch control when I 'play' at mixing sometimes. Apart from that it emulates a basic Denon and that'll do me thank you:D
