It won't effect me as I'm not working.

When doing the countdown, although I'm always spot on from my digital watch (which has been set to the precise time earlier in the day), I always find the crowd go slower than me anyway...so by the time THEY say zero, we're probably already a second or two into the new year anyway.

Vectis...is this thread part of your attempt to gain membership of the pedants forum?

I must have been thinking about a lighting EFFECT when I typed that!
