I hope this thread hasnt been started already but as it is the start of a new year its time to make those dreaded new years resolutions that we never stick to......just wondering if anyone has made any and if so what are they???

This year mine is to join a gym - lose weight for the summer. ( think i say this every year though).

To smoke and drink more, I really didn't smoke or drink enough in 2008. The pressures on and I'm off to the pub to get started on it.

I'm cycling approximately 5.5 miles 3-4 nights a week - nothing to do with NY resolutions, just necessary as my shift finishes at 9pm and kids are in bed at 7pm.

No resolution, yet, will get back to y'all.

1. Loose weight/gym twice a week....(that's been a constant threat for 25 yrs!)

2. Not go for a Kebab after every gig....(told my roadie he can have the extra cash instead of the food, he's skinny and a bad influence!)

3. Going to get at least one pair of Funktion-One Resolution2 speakers that I've been promising myself for the last 2yrs:

Mine are to crack on with my studies a lot more. Mum is going stir crazy at the amount of working I'm taking on. It's a lot of pain and financial agony to send me to this place, and I only have 6 months left so I better make the most of it whilst I can. If not I will just get this for the rest of my life "I could have brought a new house and car with the amount we have spent on you on private ed. My mum has given up her pension to send you there, in fact the whole family have given up a lot, and you have just thrown it back in our face!"

So yeah...thats mine. Oh and to use me being a "DJ" to my advantage, to get the girls;):)

Never going to happen mate, what girl wants to hang around while you pack up your kit, she could be at the kebab shop with her mates or getting it on with the fit bloke you've just been entertaining! Sorry but that's the reality for most of us!! :(

I never make New years Resolutions because they never last longer than a week.
If there is one thing I want to do it is to TRY and go swimming at least twice a week because I love swimming and apparently it is the best excercise for you as it uses all the muscles. A couple of my mates started playing squash every monday a couple of months back and keep asking me to go but (fortunately) I did my hand in badly and it would be my racket hand so I said no.

It takes the same amount of energy to walk to the bin as it does to run to it.

In the past I have occasionally placed a veneer of "niceness" over my true thoughts. From now on it's "shoot from the hip", if I think somebody's a prat I'll say so (to their face if the opportunity arises).
