Hi guys,

been looking around, but i can't find a source for a mixer cd player case in ABS plastic.

looking for something that will hold 2 3U denon Controllers (ONE dn6000 AND ONE hc2500) and a 4 U Denon X500 Mixer
and a 2 u rack light

so 12U in total for the mixer element

and something that will comfortable hold 1 KAM radio mic unit, Denon D6000 cd trays and a keyboard underneath. so 4 U i think.

please point me in the right direction - google is proving to be rubbish for this sort of thing

If you can ditch the rack light theres these two:

http://www.terralec.co.uk/mixer_and_cd_player_cases/2u_case_for_cd_player_and_mixer/17762_p.html

http://www.terralec.co.uk/mixer_and_cd_player_cases/4u_case_for_cd_player_and_mixer/17763_p.html

Finding a top with 12U is a pain in the backside....

10U top if that's any good. (http://www.adamhall.com/uk/AH_K--DJ-Rack-Module-19-6U10U8U__p--project_27__b--GDJM1068)

I have to say....IMO....I think the plastic looks...well....crap!
They don't look like they can do the job for me.

Just my opinion. :)

and you are welcome to it,

I'm changing to plastic because i have used them before when i was a student, and they were fairly durable. Another reason is I'm fed up doing my back in shifting previously a 10 U / 8U standard "carpeted case" then conversely my rolly rack 10u/16?u - which had everything in it including an amp, which was just not practical.

now i've moved onto a new Speaker system i can happily downsize the flight cases - decided to split it as follows

in a 4 U normal rack mount ABS case i'll have : Blue Laser Karaoke Player and Vocopro Effects Unit - (my karaoke gear)

and in this one - CD players, radio mics & Mixer - with room for expansion on the top to add in a DENON Hard drive controller, when i go digital.

do they do these with the grooves on the bottom so they stack like the amp racks? I cant find one. would be useful as i have a rack and it would sit safely on top.

Fairly sure the one in the link I posted does, but only fits other ones from the same range.

What make is your rack?
