i use one just like this one on my childrens Disco setup, it looks pretty for the kids

and often gives me light to work under (most village halls seem to have one switch for all lighting, so plunged into darkness)

ah yes, "The Black Hole of Calcutta" as I like to call it - when you're left in the dark and trying to select your next track by using the beams/reflection from your lights.

I use 3 rope lights if i am on a stage.
It brightens up the stage front.

I definitely wont use them off stage as they get walked on.

dont put them on the floor?

My tripod is full of lights and the booth is only 18 inches wide so nowhere else to put them.

I was just checking the forum and I saw 18 replies and I thought surely there can’t be that much interest in a rope light! :D

I know they are not the most popular but I thought I’d see if any one wanted one, obviously not!
I will stick in on eBay, you never know someone may want it.

I don't think so but thats just me. Ropelights are cheap so you wont really gain much from selling it on.

I don’t expect to make a mint on it but a couple of pounds is better than nothing.

I have also just sold it today so please could someone close this thread?
Thanks
