I have never been to a Karaoke night and never will.
There is nothing worse than listening to someone who thinks they can sing when they cant.
I am a musician so appreciate things when they are in tune not out of tune or more likely the wrong note completely !

I have seen one guy sing great karaoke... he sang 'Danny Boy' so well the guy running the rig turned the backing track down.

In all honesty most karaoke singers are terrible and can't sing to save there life but I've found theres at least one person at each karaoke gig that actually has talent and is an amazing singer.

That 1 person makes it worth while for me.

If that 1 person is up early though they can discourage others 'trying', and often makes the night a disaster. Most people on karaoke know they cannot sing but are out for a good night, which is what I encourage (mainly due to the fact I cannot sing at all :eek: )
