sorry if this has been covered before

i have an availability checker within my website that can be accessed by anybody to check dates.

strange thing last night in 30mins it was hit 91 times by the same ip address,which in my opinion isn't normal,i have my suspitions who it is,but can't prove it.

my question is how do i get more info on the offending ip address,the most i have managed to obtain is that it is from a bt home hub,which fits with my suspitions.

appologies if i sound like a bit of a numpty but i am no expert with t'internet

I'm not sure you'll be able to find out much more than that on your own.
Perhaps contact BT?

yes i have reported it to bt via there nusance service so far had only an automated e-mail back
i am convinced because the ip address is just from a home computer and not a website then i would need an exeptional reason to get the name released,was hoping somebody on here might have a trick up there sleeve.

having now thought about it i know the guy who i think it is, if i could get him to reply to an e-mail i think that might give me what i'm after.

What info do you want from the I.p?

would be happy with the general area,cos i don't think i will be able to get the name because the ip address belongs to bt

That gives a location of the I.P address (not the home address though)

thats one i haddn't tried
gives a good result,not from the place i thought it was.
will try it when i get home and if it gives my location correctly then case closed

The best you can hope for is the ISP and (maybe) rough location. Without a court order you won't get much more info than that.
