Currently my accountant sorts out my end of year figures and tax returns only. I have been toying with the idea of passing more bookwork onto them.

To what capacity do you use your accountants for ??

My accountant does my tax return, company accounts and vat return, but I give him spreadsheets with expenses, sales and vat figures. Basically, I do most of the groundwork and then he audits everything for me and makes the final returns and deals with the revenue.

As a small simple set up with a turnover under the limit ( I think its £15,000 )
I submit my turnover and expenses plus any capital purchases, no need for any further information:D

He submits to IR.

Job done at low cost to me.:)

My nan does mine as that's what she does for a living! :D

I give her a copy of the invoices for each event and for any equipment etc I buy.
