it'll probably never happen, but for a comedy sketch i'd love to film a mobile disco setting for a 50th wedding anniversary and play the most innapropiate songs you can think of

imagine the 'background' part of the night, and the dj comes in and starts playing accccccccieeeeeeeed full blast, boping away behind the decks thinking everyones loving it.

To my deepest embarrassment, I once played "Fast Love" by George Michael as the second track at a wedding. Oops. People danced, though.

Ive had a guest dj (brother if the groom) come on and clear the floor (everyone except the groom) with progressive trance. Groom realised it didnt work (eventhough i had said beofre that a "club" dj would flop) and got me back on fairly sharpish. The bloke was a nice guy mind. I had visions of him destroying the CDJs....

First song "22 Acacia Avenue" Iron Maiden
This suggests the bride used to be a hooker.

Yep. JS adverts. The best one, imo, is the one where he's in the restaurant and his kid phones him up cos he's scared of the monster in his bedroom. PK says "It not the monster you should be scared of it's the burglars that come in through the window"! Fantastic!

I once did a karaoke disco where this woman singer was really bad. The next song cued up for the disco was D:Reams' Things Can Only Get Better! If looks could kill I wouldn't be here to tell the tale! :D

Funny this gets mentioned, I've been thinking for some time it might be funny to come up with a list of the least appropriate songs to play at various types of events...

i think the most commonly requested Innapropriate song has got to be I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor. Its a song about Divorce and i get asked for it at EVERY wedding!

Agreed.

I once had some mad woman come up demanding I take it off due to the inappropriate lyrics!

...and 'I Will Always Love You'.

I had 'With Or Without You' requested as a First Dance, once!

Don't know if anyone fancies a meet up for a few jars and a laugh. Ivan Brackenbury (The comedy gold Hospital Radio presenter) is doing a show at Glasgows Stand Comedy Club on Wednesday the 18 Mar 2009.

Should be a great midweek night out and a chance to put faces to names.

Anyone up for it?
