Has anybody ordered from Sterling Flight Cases?

I ordered and paid for a Coffin case back in early November and he has been making excuses about why it hasn't arrived ever since!

He now won't reply to my e-mails or phone messsages!

Anyone else had problems??

Not heard of them myself, but I am new around here. Once businesses stop answering your calls/ e-mails it is time to get a refund (asuming you paid up front). If so contact your card company and do a charge back. IIRC needs to be started within 3 months of payment, so I would do it now.

After looking at their website, it seems they don't have a contact number to ring. Not only that, but they're REALLY expensive cases. I could find something much similar for about half the price! :eek:

Yeah I ordered a flightcase for my xponent in early December, same problems.

Thanks For that Woodie, I didn't know there was a three month time limit on claiming the money back, maybe thats why he had been telling me that it will be here in another 4 weeks every time I managed to get hold of him.

Seeing as I still need a flight case, any suggestions on where I can get one that holds two Denon 3500's and a 1500 mixer. It also needs to have a laptop stand on it. Oh and wheels would be helpful too as they are mighty heavy for a wee girl!

Thats a good price! But, it's huge and won't fit on our 4ft stand :(

Have just spoken to a guy at Get in the mix, he was really very helpful and is going to try to get hold of the original case that my son wanted from road ready.

Lets hope I get somewhere this time!

No problem. That is a great case and makes a good stand too, but if you already have a stand there is no need I suppose. Good luck with it all anyway.

Get in the mix called back and it seems the case I originally ordered from Sterling is not even made by road ready!

They have sorted me out with a coffin case, laptop stand and even a serato/laptop bag which I thought had been discontinued and the laptop stand also has a place to put the serato which is a bonus :)

Going to go over to them tomorrow to collect it all just in time for Fri and Sat gigs this weekend (have a feeling my son won't want to be going in to school tomorrow!)

There is an 0845 number just below the 'Home' button. No idea if the number works, didn't try it.

I also ordered a case at the end of november from sterling and got fob of saying ther was a delay in the order and was refunded some money as was told i would recieve it in january i have tried calling them and emailing from the middle of january with no responce and have contact some of there links and have been told they are closing down but have been on ther website which some one is updating? but still no contact and have contact the bank to get a refund which i paid with debit card not holding my breath so anoyying why do people do this!!!

I used PayPal for this company and have since disputed the payment.

After careful review, we have concluded our investigation of the BuyerComplaint described below. We have decided in your favour, however, we were unable to recover anyfunds from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement,recovery of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

Morale of the story is guys, don't use Sterling Flight cases, end of.

I have had my money refunded by my credit card. I now use my credit card for all my large purchases so if i have a problem I know I will get a refund.

If you guys are looking for a reputable company try Swan Flight cases they are brill!

Hi all

Im a new member here ...

and my attention was brought by this thread,

myself and other collegues on another forum have been ripped off by sterling

I bought some cases from sterling in october delivery was due november, then i rang and was told that there was a delay in the delivery from China and would not arrive until December

december came ... still no delivery ... rang again and was told that the manufacturers had sent a container with the wrong cases so it would be a month before another delivery ... but Paul ( the owner ) said he would refund half the amount i paid .... i agreed ...

But no refund came .... and when i tried to ring all i got was an answering machine... did not respond to emails or messages in January ....

i checked out the owners details with company house and found that they had not presented the last set of accounts for last year

but the directors apealed against the company being struck off so they could carry on trading

then in feb the website had everything sold out ... and was no longer trading

But then at the end of feb the web site added new pages and was accepting orders again .....

I paid a visit to the address of the business but all was locked up, it was an office in an easyrent unit .... although no one was there ... someone was collecting the mail on a daily basis ( cashing the cheques i guess )

I also spoke to road ready cases and they had no knowledge of dealing with or supplying sterling flightcases ...

This week the Website is no longer acessable ..... gone ( with my money )

I have contaced Paypal ... and they have told me its to late to file a dispute as sterling stopped being an paypal member in December ...

i have given up now ... im guessing that this started as a legitimate business but ended up being a way of scamming good people

if anyone has lost a lot of money and wants some answers ... i found these details at companies house

just a quick update

companies house has posted notices that 2 of the directors have resigned
and also the secartary has resigned ....

the only man left standing is mr P Garner

unfortunately these notices are dated before october 2008 .. prior to when most of us bought items ....
