A kebab may have a lot of fat in it, but also it does come with alot of veg (about half) of the kebab, so at least your getting your 5 aday. one cancels the other out.

Easy answer to this one. Buy a diet coke to go with it. As we all know, diet coke cancels out the calories in the kebab :o :p

I remember (just) going into the local kebab house totally hammered and asking for the biggest kebab they do. As it was the end of the night for the guys in there and also the owner I was talking to, they made me a kebab with a full size naan bread folded in half ! And it was FULL ! (joke was on me I guess) I never ate it all, but I had a good go. :beer1: :beer1: :beer1:

For me I rarely get much chance for a kebab, and they're not top of my list anyway. It's usually a Cornish Nasty or similar at a petrol station.

What a diet coke does cancel out all the calories of is : Big Mac, Large fries, 6 chicken McNuggets & an apple pie. Or so it seems if you watch any american tourist for long enough.

SOMERSET kebabs are some of the worst in Britain, according to new tests.

The trading standards team at Somerset County Council revealed the food is among the unhealthiest in the country.

Three of the top 10 worst donor kebabs were from the area.

The average kebab in Somerset was found to contain 124 per cent of the recommended daily intake of salt and 216 per cent of the suggested dose of saturated fats.

Somerset appeared fourth, ninth and 10th on the list of kebabs with the highest calories. First place went to Cheshire.

Our local does an 'XL Mixed Chicken & Lamb Doner Kebab' with 'Chips, Cheese and Mayo' for about £6......how much fat in that?? :eek:

As a post gig snack I can only manage about 3/4 of it even if I've eaten nothing since lunch, and I can eat believe me......Weymouth is strewn with it on a Sunday morning! Lovely! :D

Shish kebab is a dish consisting of meat threaded on a skewer, and grilled. Any kind of meat may be used, small cubes of meat, fruit or vegetables are often threaded on the skewer as well.

look at the A74M at the cumberland gap. for example, it finally got upgraded to a "proper" road....

Its about time the Cumberland gap was filled.
They have one of the new bridges built now.

They are also building a road from the north of Carlisle to the west, that should improve the city center traffic loads.

My New Years Resolution is to stop takeaway food. it is amazing the amount of money people saved by taking a packed lunch into work so I thought I would do the same. I normally heat something up when home whilst unpacking and sit with a nice cool beer and eat in comfort.

I used to spend at least £2.99 of lunch everyday Mon-Fri. That's £14.95 a week and almost £60 a month!

Think of what you could do with an extra £60 in your pocket every month:)

But that's only if you spend £0 on your lunch each day. Surely packed lunches cost more than that (unless you ask mum to make your lunches and forget to pay her!). :D
