Well heres an attempt from me at a Promo vid!

It is crap quality but the one for the site is going to be better. The Animations were made by me and the sound was produced for me by a friend and it called Heighten! Its spooky and makes you think of a journey and I like it :D

Anychance of getting some video footage that you can slot inbetween the stills. Looks good thoug. maybe tone down the moving text, took a while to register with me what it was saying.

If I could change one thing....I would change the music....to something a bit more up tempo....but apart from that...not bad. :)

Sadly don't own a video camera :( My camera is rubbish with videos. The text ill look into it.

Nice shots, but agree with the music, its a tad bit slow, needs something more upbeat if your advertising discos.

Youve got the makings of a very good promo there.

The animations and text look really professional.

I would do a few 'staged' photos of your set up etc with full lighting on etc and put them in there too.

Only other thing I would do personally (not that there is anything wrong with what youve done) is make it short and snappy (which is a lot harder than it sounds) a good 20 or 30 second promo may have more impact, but still get the same message across. This will also feel more professional and in keeping with the animations youve done. well done.

Quite a nice promo, Callum. I too would have chosen a more upbeat soundtrack though.

Not sure what production software you've used. For my promos I use a program called Muvee AutoProducer which is a doddle to use for this kind of work. You simply load in your audio, pics and video, tell it what style to use and let it make you a movie! You can choose to build the project randomly or tell it what order to use your pics. You can also do the titling. It's very good for beginners (although I'm thinking you're beyond the beginner stage!)

Yeah I agree with the above....the music is very slow. Whats wrong with a bit of old Barry White ;) Good effort though...I like it...maybe your telephone number and website could show a bit more :)

There is another one but doenst really do them as such more of a singer and that not a disco. He would do one if really pushed.

Yep. Just getting used to it. Is a good program.

Bluff titler for the 3D effects and movie maker for the video. Im thinking about offering my 'bluffing' skills. :D

According to a photography magazine report I read last year, it's still not illegal to take and use photos in this way. Do you think the press get release/consent forms from everyone in the crowd when they take photos at a football match? Or when the local news crew do a report in a busy street do you think they need permission to show it from everyone in shot?

No. They don't! And the same applies to anyone else taking photos. This was confirmed by a lawyer who was interviewed in the report I read.

However, there is something in law about making money by selling images of people without the subjects consent. Using it in promotion material is acceptable.
