Just wanted to say thanks to Rob for putting me in touch with a bloke who got me sorted with a 0800 number. Ended up quite cheap too :D

Cant give all the secrets away :D - Its worked out at £10 set-up (refunded on your second bill) then £2 per month, which is waived if you hiut a target of 100 minutes per month. The cost to a UK fixed number (i.e. LandlinE) is 4.5p (peak) and 3.6p (off-peak) per minute. I have mine diverted to a mobile, which works out at 25.5p (peak) and 18.6p (off-peak) per minute.

If your interested give me a pm as i think (according to the pack) i can reccomend and set up a person now. Ill find out for sure though. :)

Does diverting it to a landline then diverting the landline to mobile make it cheaper?

I do that and don't have the time to work it all out. My bills are £90 a month including internet and other calls, but my package is a rip off as they charge £15 per month! Can i transfer the 0844 no to another provider?

Im guessing that diverting that way may be. If you take the 4.5p for the divert to the landline, then add the cost of diverting the land line to your mobile it may. Aslong as your cost for diverting from landline to mobile is less than 21p.

Not sure about transfering the number but the tarrif table shows the following for 0844, Band 1 (100 minutes target):

Monthly rental: £2 (waived if you hit/exceed the target minutes)

Destination UK fixed number: Peak: -1.3p Off-peak: 1.0p

Destination UK mobile: Peak:16.5p Off-peak: 16.5p £network: 18.7p

Im still getting my head round it all, i can look into it futher if you want.

It looks good, but i cant find any reference to the cost per minute to divert to mobiles. Thats when the price gets hiked up usually :)
