Being a massive hip hop/rap fan for about 20 years now (How old) im looking forward to this film. although I was never a massive fan of biggie it is a must watch for me.

Most hadnt Steve unless you were a big rap fan. But Notorious BIG founded Puff Daddy and when he made that song all the proceeds went to BIG's wife and kids.

Think I will wait for the DVD release also.
Notice they are using Duran's Notorious, on the promo.

Largely on account of it being sampled in one of his tracks I'd imagine.

I dont really know much about the guy and the film hardly paints him in a good light but one of my favourite tracks is nasty girl and even though a whole host of people featured on that i think biggie makes the track what it is. Im not really a film person but i really want to go watch this.Gotta be better than mamma mia right? :P

I can't stand all the attention Biggie and T-Pac get/got... they're made to look like idols when really they should be used as a warning to any idiot who messes about with gangs and guns.

Had anyone actually heard of him until puff diddly squidley released I'll be missing you???I agree. Ask anyone to name one of his tracks, and the response you'll get is "Er..... there was that one that Puff Daddy made for him?"

Not a fan of Dr Dre, slim shandy, snoop dog, 50 cent?At least they had a few good tunes between them, 'Slim Shandy' apart ;)

Not sure this will make my DVD collection.....and yes do remember before "Missing you"......sorry but I think it's just about rapper's gang banging and the culture that goes with it......not for me.

I gotta say i wasnt overly impressed. I dont know what i was expecting really but during the whole film there was only one "mc battle" which i would of liked to have seen. The casting is very questionable, B.I.G himself was played very well but puff daddy and tupac looked more like bing crosby! The girls were pretty hot mind (lil kim and faith evans) however there was no part for a snoop dogg or dre?

Saying all that at the end you cant help but smile however it doesnt really compare to the quality of 8mile.

Next weeks review "Dumb and Dumber the college years"
