In that picture, IMHO the loose starcloth skirts look awful. Plus they're skytec which makes them more awful by default.

The concept is sound though, as it happens we are currently having some tight fitting long skirts made for our midihoists, in plain black fabric.

What works for you may not work for some, surely? And its hard to tell what a certain effect may look like from a basic stock image, unless the OP has seen these out. Why don't you add a few more pictures to your gallery, CB Entertainment, so I can scoff over your setup / equipment?

I appreciate this may have been a light-hearted attempt at humour, but comes across as conceited and totally deconstructive. Some of you need to be taken down a peg or two, and some just need to keep quiet.

And no. We don't own any Skytec LED skirts.

Fair enough then. I just find it very strange, the culture of 'gear snobbery' when some (not all) really aren't in any position to comment. Think stones, glass houses.

Surely a discussion about the good and bad points of the skirting, ways to adapt it - I appreciate Tony's attempt to try and advance the topic - and improve it would go down a little better than a 'Hey, look at this [ **Removed by admin - please refer to the forum rules regarding use of expletives** ]' post, no?

Forums by their very nature are full of varying viewpoints and differences of opinion. I can't see anything in Callum's post that came across as conceited or destructive. In fact I think the skytec cloths look awful too. It's just my opinion.

Posting comments about people needing taken down a peg or two does however sound destructive, and not a very good idea when directed at a moderator. :)

I've just realised that, yes, they did use those, but I'm sure the company who did my lighting would only use S&H ones. ;)

Also, because of the booth each side and the big cloth behind, they blended in quite nicely.

I'm not surprised they've knocked a third off the price, but I reckon they STILL won't sell any!

LOL, I actually went back and looked at the photos, but they don't appear to have any pealights/LEDs in them.. they just look like cloth. But proper cloth, not shiny horrible stuff!
