Ok, got a few more bits to go. I have not worked out the postage but the larger items I would prefer to be collected or can be delivered or met halfway for the cost of fuel.

Cash on collection/delivery, cheque or bank transfer only. :)

2x Studiospares 15A Fortissimo Active speakers. Rated at 300 watts rms and weigh 28.5kg. They are quite heavy speakers but they are quite large also. Good condition, just usuall wear but will be fully cleaned for who ever buys them. Speakers come with power cables and manuals.

The price will be £180 for the pair.

1x Rack case

I it's 4u high and 10u deep. When I used it for my digital rack I could fit in 4u on the bottom and 7u on top because the hd2500 is quite a deep unit.

Rack case in good condition, just usuall wear. Will be fully cleaned. Comes with 20 cage nuts and bolts to get your equipment fully racked up.

Price will be £50

1x 1U sliding rack draw.

Fantastic condition. Price would be £10 + delivery cost

Hello Steve

The top is 10U but I was only able to use 7u because the Denon HD2500 is so deep and took up some of the space on the bottom 4u.

If you wanted to use it for your Denon gear then I know you will fit 2x Denon HD2500, 1 4U mixer (x500 or x900) and I think you can only fit 1U on the bottom but I'm not 100%. Maby Darren or Tony could confirm this? I know Tony has 2 of the HD2500's now. lol

Corabar Steve
08-03-2009, 12:20 PM
If the bottom is 4u it should leave 2u spare with that equipment (I think).

To clarify, if you put a 2u blanking plate at the top of the front section, how many u would be below it?

I'm actually thinking of replacing one of our other DJ's cases which is on the verge of self destructing.

It will leave 2U on the bottom, which is enough space for 2 trays for keyboards or what ever you want to use the space for. lol.

It depends on how much gear you fill it with! When I used it, it had about 40kg worth of gear. This case is strong. lol.

It has 4 spring loaded handles so it can be carried by one or two people.

I'm not sure ion shipping as it's quite large but I could get a price.

BTW Tom....good looking bag in the background.....:D

Put that in the shot just for you. ;):D

Sure that's the same case as I have and the front as Steve has asked, I think without opening the case:

From the front I have a 2u plate at the top, a 1u switch panel under that and a 2u amp under that. So the front is 5u but with equipment on the top, as you know you may loose 2u.

To make it easier to lift onto a stand by yourself, remove the front and top. Without an amp in though it would be alot more easier to lift.

If these was to fit 2x hd2500 and 1x 4u mixer that will fill the top. The hd2500 are deep units and will take some of the front space up quite a lot.

Thats why I think Steve will only fit 1U in at the bottom.

No that was the other case 1 up 1 down, mixe in the middle

Now that's a configuration I hadn't considered . Sadly, I don't think my little brain could cope with the layout, which seriously is one of the main reasons I went for the Cortex, ie two screens. I have the two Cortex side by side, and find I can relate this to the mixer layout. I'm not sure I could do this if they were North and South, especially if the keyboards were also like this. I really can't work out the best option.
Steve, are your Denons side by side, or like Penmare's? Thoughts please

Corabar Steve
26-03-2009, 10:06 AM
While I'm using the Road Ready case I bought after the theft of the original Denon rig, it's as shown below.

I had to nick the old blurry photo from an old thread (coz it's not on my PC anymore) What's difficult with the layout? It's no different (other than being rotated by 90 degrees) than having a tabletop CD player or turntable either side of a mixer in a coffin case.

Occasionally (like over Christmas) it all goes in one of these (http://www.rhino-products.biz/19flight_cases/rhccr16udjr.htm), in which case the config is as Tony has shown.

Excalibur
26-03-2009, 10:20 AM
I feel you must have missed my point there Steve. The controls on the mixer are laid out East-West, and having the two players in the same configuration mimics this. That much my brain can often live with. However, if the players are North-South, that's running at ninety degrees to the mixer. Too tricky for this DJ of very little brain. :o :o :o

It would be a bit difficult to go east west with my kit, espessially when you take into account that I use a Micromax :sj:

So ideally you'd need a 4U x 3x 19" Flightcase?

It would look like you're bringing your pool cues with you :sj:

First song, Pool Hall Richard. :D

I actually did in the style of our late lamented Cumbrian friend "Build my own". ;) Instead of two separate cases, I built a single one, with two 19" compartments side by side. Brilliant. Apart from one serious design flaw. I could hardly lift it, and I couldn't get it through the door without something or someone sustaining damage. :( :( :(

That's why I'm presently on the Mk7 flightcases, which will be finished soon after the CPC man arrives tomorrow. As soon as it's all painted and tidy, pictures will appear for perusal and derisory comments.
