Hi all,

Does anyone on here ever use this website? whybuynew.co.uk , i have seen a couple of bits i need and wondered what experiences you guys have had with them, good or bad!

They've been mentioned before. I bought a couple of amps and a mixer from them and both amps had to go back for repair, but they took them back and repaired them straight away and then contacted me to let me know what the problem was as well.

The whole thing only took a couple of days, so pretty good service IMO.

From my experience they are pretty trustworthy and they also sell brand new goods too.

Excellent company IMO, I've bought loads of kit from them, the only faulty item they sent me was collected the next day and replaced two days later, customer service doesn't get much better than that.

I bought my Slappa 600 cd case from them for £59. It was B stock but looked brand new when I got it. :D

I've bought a number of items from them with no problems, including a fair few CD players.

They were a bit slow to refund me for a dodgy D2, but a phone call did the trick.

I would recommend this company.

I've never used this company, but having skimmed through the other responses it seems virtually every person has had an issue with equipment reliability.

Based on my experiences shopping with several other vendors, there's only ever been one incident when something was faulty on arrival and that's because the courier smashed it and a full refund was forthcoming. I've never received DOA equipment. Maybe I've been lucky.

A slightly misleading conclusion IMO, out of 5 individual purchasers 3 have had a less than perfect product, but it was sorted out to the satisfaction of all purchasers. In my case, I'd purchased 20 - 30 items from them, and only 1 item had a significant problem, which btw, was replaced at no cost to myself, within a few days. Most of the items I purchased were advertised as 'B' stock, but what actually arrived was items in perfect condition in manufacturers sealed boxes, including a Denon HD2500 for £449 when most other sellers were asking £599 or more! :) You can't blame a retailer for selling a faulty product in a manufacturers sealed box, but they do deserve praise when they sort out any problem instantly, and without a drama or cost to yourself. I wouldn't buy any item without checking if WBN could do me a better deal first, and, if prices were the same, I would favour WBN on their proven after sales service. Before anyone suggests otherwise, I have absolutely no connection whatsoever to WBN except as a happy customer. In fairness to other traders, there are many out there both on-line and bricks and mortar who offer equally good service
