There are a lot of DJ's from all over the UK and some even from other parts of the world. We all like different foods and some may even be keen to try new things, or even new recipes. I know I am.

One of my favourite foods is ribs with lashings of BBQ sauce.

Whats yours?

Im a major major pasta man myself. I must have it at least four or five times a week and its really simple to make :D. Personally if i can be bothered to make it then it has to be MASHED POTATO with thick gravy.........hhmmmmmmm

Finally a combination I came up with - fresh-baked hash browns cut into bite-sized square with a slice or a smear of avocado and a small strip of smoked salmon (add capers if you are that way inclined... I am).

I like allsorts (both liquorice and fruit.. ) :D I mean I'm not fussy.. quite keen on Pasta (Carbonara in particular) and curries, but nothing too hot.

I love a Roast Beef Dinner with all the trimmings and am also partial to a good curry - Madras or vindaloo, or better still homemade.

It has to be No.47 from the chinese or failing that A Full English Breakfast with extra mushrooms and hold the beans because I never eat them. Eggs runny so I can dip my fried bread and toast in them. Washed down with a cup of tea, milk no sugar. I'm starving now !

Here's a rib recipe for you then Tom. It's made from a few others, and doesn't need to be followed to the letter. I regularly change amounts and ingredients to try and change the taste slightly.

You must poach them first as the meat just falls off the bone as they do in restaurants. Highly recommended.

I love A Full English Breakfast with Sausages, Bacon, Egg, Tomatoes, Black Pudding, Mushrooms, Hash Brown yum yum.

I'm also a big fan of a Sunday roast and I do eat Kebabs, Savaloys, Special Curry (Chicken, Beef and Pork) from the Chinese and I also enjoy Indian food.

So in other words, I'm just a fatty that loves food lol :D

Have tried and failed. I did once make cheddar cheese and salted peanut soup. It is absolutely delicious. Was on the menu in a hotel I worked in.

It's the potato that gives it body and this recipe is far better than any packet or even fresh soup you can buy.

I could survive on roast potatoes covered in onion gravy.
I also make a very nice chicken and prawn (or bacon) rissoto and that goes down well. I even gave the recipe to my local pub and they have it on the menu!

Other than that, a nice piece of plaice with chips and pickled onion vinegar.

I don't eat burgers or any of that kfc stuff.

I love food.....full stop.
Used to be a Chef.....so anything for me.

We had a Mexican night a few weeks ago.
Starter - Chillies stuffed with cheese, rosemary then breaded and shallow fried.
Mains - Albondigas (spicy Mexican meatballs with red rice), refried beans and a cucumber salad.
Sweet - Tequila and lime mousse.

Hit the spot.

Indeed. I normally use arborio or carnaroli rice and add stock every couple of minutes.

I like cooking and all my family are good cooks. My brother loves cooking authentic Indian food and has all of the spices etc.
I bought my missus the book 'How to make Indian Cooking easy' for Christmas by Anjun Anan (I think that's her name?). It is really good and after we'd spent loads of money on the spices etc....she started going through the recipes.

It's amazing and a lot cheaper in the long run. It's so much better than going to the supermarket and buying (for example) a jar of Rogan Josh and then just chucking in some vegetables and boiling some rice. Last night she made me Lamb Rogan Josh with Spinach Pilau rice and it was better than when I had it at the restaurant....speaking of restaurants...Darren, you ever been to 'The Standard' in Reading (if it's still there?). I used to live in York Rd (behind RG1) a few years back and you could smell their cooking all the way down the street. It's lovely in there.

By the way, with my Rissoto, I cook the onion and garlic togeather and then add the chicken and wine, let the wine reduce down and then start adding the stock to it. I add some parmesan aswell and some cream and then the wild mushrooms. When the rice is nearly done and I am adding the last of the stock, I add the prawns. Rissoto is really easy yet lovely. When it's served up I add a bit of parsley and some more parmesan and job done.

Forgot to mention as several someones have - a good fry-up:

BLACK PUDDING (preferably the stuff with a good dose of pepper built in)
Genuinely good sausage
Bacon (NOT crispy)
Fried eggs (sunny side up and not too runny)
Grilled tomato with cracked rock salt and fresh cracked pepper

These days I can live without hash browns or fried slice, but if I have them I am very particular - I can't stand the fried slice that shatters into a million pieces and hash browns are really hard to get absolutely right... so much so that I can't explain what I prefer :o


Oh, and I forgot to mention Dolmades... I LOVE dolmades and nearly anything with Tzatziki on it.

I'm having an obession with food cooked in our slow cooker at the moment.

Especially bolognese sauce and chilli all made from scratch.:cool:

Other than that, i make great chicken kievs, a great rosemary & cranberry roast beef dish & proper roast dinners with all the trimmings. :D

We've been baking a lot in our house over the last month or so, quite simple cakes but IMO you can't beat home baked stuff chocolate cakes, fruit cakes, coffee & walnut etc etc :D :D

I quite enjoy the cooking & the father in law is an ex chef and i always get to cook as the wife doesn't like cooking for him when they come to stay.:)
