Help/Advice needed. Gloating not allowed.

OK, here's the scenario. Mission Control ( Aka KAM1500 ) has thrown a major strop at being disturbed. :( :( :( Anybody selling a top whack mixer for peanuts? Anybody know of a superb deal anywhere? Must have kill switches on mics, at least two mic channels, and for preference USB capability. Have fitted backup for now, but it's not ideal. Low budget, money's tight.

Thoughts appreciated, and Steve, the UREI 1605 is over budget and too big. ( Unless my numbers come up tonight, in which case we're in a whole different ballgame. :D :D )

I have a Cloud Dm 1200 it has 2 mic channels and 6 music channles but no Usb :( only other problem is the mic nobs need a cleaning. (any good ??)

Peter, I have an alesis multimix 8 here. Its not a dj mixer. But if you want to use it while you get sorted give me a call and you can borrow it.

As for the upcoming karaoke night. Im getting a larger Behringer Xenyx with more mic channels on. So that will serve ideal for that.

Have a look on ebay for a Denon X500 peter. If you mean kill switch by a button to turn the mic channel on or off. The denon has that and also 2 mic channels. Thats if you can get one for the right price.

A Numark model is probably your best bet. a CM200 USB or something.

cm200 usb is a fab mixer. Not very nice to look at and being black its hard to see everything if your nearly in complete darkness but if you know where all the nobs are then your laughing. Its a nice solid mixer!

behringer mixers... hmmm i had the 300 for a while it wasnt bad price wise but switches were pretty cheap and snapped a few during what i'd consider light use.

Peter, I wouldn't go for that Behringer VMX1000 I have had one before and they are pants. The quality is very bad, the faders are VERY sensetive. It's just a bad mixer I would definatley go for the Numark over this.

I've run a CM200USB for over 2 years and I'm more than happy with it. Nothing has deteriorated over time - all the knobs still work and the sliders are tight and crisp.

2) They have tone controls etc on them, I'm looking for what one might call a "direct" input, since all the work has already been done on the Denon. ;)
