About playing this classic track?

YouTube - Joe Jackson - It's Different For Girls

I was thinking early on in the evening or something?

Does anyone think it's a bit too 'down tempo' for a function?

It's just under 120bpm, so not particularly down tempo, although I'd certainly play it early on rather than in the main part of the disco.

For the record, I love Joe Jackson's stuff. I used to play it a lot in a pub where I had a residency & didn't have to worry about getting people to dance.

I wonder how long it will be until this thread gets moved to the music forum?

Same here, i was thinking it may be a bit 'moody' for a function

everyone's ready to party, then joe jackson comes on

Still, a great track though

Would be ok for early background, if it was requested. Not sure if I'd play it through choice at a function. Might get an airing next week at the pub though.

yup, it's more suited to a pub than a function

ahhh what the hell, a good track is a good track, i'm playing it.

If i'm out of business by next week i'm gonna sue youtube for loss of earnings '0)
