I'm surprised a thread has not appeared about this before now- I played around on it yesterday and think it is a brilliant idea

When it comes to "privacy laws" I cant see an issue with it unless you have something to hide- what do you think?

i did know someone who thought their car had been stolen from heathrow- and then found it 6 months later.
they could have used streetview back then.

Wouldn't help find a stolen car, the pictures will most likely have been taken long before the car was stolen.......
Goooooogle Earth is up to 3 or more years out of date, StreetView soon will be the same.

"Man on Wire" was on at the local cinema, which puts it sometime late last year I think....and it was 3PM.

My wife actually saw the Google camera car pass her near her work, that area hasn't actually become available yet but I might be able to spot her once it is :)

It's a great tool.

I know of a couple of entertainment related websites that have already started to embed Streetviews linked to existing location maps ;)

Google street view is brilliant.

I'm not sure why some people think it's an invasion of privacy, as it doesn't show anything private. After all, anyone could drive down any of the roads on it & see exactly the same things...so I have no idea what their problem is.

I helped my auntie plan a route to the Newcastle metro arena. She wanted to see what it was like to get there and we done Streetview and helped her alot!

It blurs out peoples faces so i dont see it as invasion of privacy either
