She might not have been the best person in the world (by far) but you should still pay respect to her and her family.

At the end of the day she is still like any other person and deserves a little repect ;)

and we should respect her because...... she won big brother ?

i know she died of cancer and the rest of it, but if i was to pass away would she batter an eye lid and post her condolences on a public forum..

No, but that's not the point I'm making. I know she was a bit of a :Censored: but at the end of the day she still had cancer and we should respect that in particular.

I don't care much for her as a person or celebrity, as she drove me nuts!!!

Why?

Its got nothing to do with DJs or Discos which is what this forum is generally for.

If a member of this forum had died I would give every support and sympathy.

Sad as the circumstances are it should be discussed somewhere else.

Without starting an arguement, there are a few topic on this forum that do not fall under the Disco and DJ category. Take 'The Apprentice' topic for example :)

Well if people feel the topic does not belong, then lock or remove it by all means :)

Sorry if any of my posts came across as patronising but I was having a bit of a laugh earlier when I called you 'Mr Moderator'. It was a bit of light hearted banter ;)

The only thing she has contributed to the world is cancer awareness, although that obviously wasn't her motivation for selling her dignity to every tabloid and magazine willing to pay for it.

I'm inclined to agree with Darren & my feelings towards her wouldn't go down to well if voiced, but this is the chat (non disco related) area, so I don't see why it shouldn't be here. After all, we've had enough RIP threads for other celebrities (admittedly musicians)

So she wasn't allowed to do this to try and secure the future of her kids then?

I'd say that was the main motivation for it & probably the only truly good thing she's ever done.

So she wasn't allowed to do this to try and secure the future of her kids then?Yes of course, out a few thousand away for them, that can be done in a dignified manner. In my opinion, she was too greedy, her kids do not need £100000s or whatever it was she was going for. Apparently, even her PR guy told her to stop it.

clifford didnt tell her to stop it.
he said she should stop doing it.
but then carried on pr'ing her until she died.
he was just playing with the public which is essentially his job.

if she wants to cash in then fair enough- get every penny you can for your kids- £100000 wont last too long for 2 of them.

TBH if I was dying of cancer and had the chance to earn £000,000's for my family by doing what she has done, I would do the same as long as my family were happy with it, and yes I would be greedy and take everything I could.

If her kids were old enough to decide, do you think they would want their mother to parade herself in the papers whilst she was dying, just so they could have large amounts of money gifted to them?

If it transpires that she has donated the bulk of the money to cancer research and charities, then obviously she would have my full respect and sympathy.

I didn't admire the lady at all. She reflected much of what is poor about this Isle nowadays. However, I now have no problem with her providing for her kids on the back of it, or raising awareness of Cancer, which has taken members of my family.

Ok I personally didn't follow her myself but she raised Cancer awareness to others around her. On the other hand this can happen to anybody including celebrities.

at the end of the day Jade was a typical example of many a young girl in today's UK, aged only what 27 - she passe away too young, as have many others, I hope her kids grow up knowing that she loved them which was very clear.

I wouldn't say that i particulary (sp) liked her or anything, but to some she was a rolemodel and did change her life for the better after her first stint on BB, although blew credibility with the Shilpa Shetty saga, yet again she was typical of many people in this world who we all see most days.

RIP

How surprising to hear a statement from Gordon Brown today following the death of Jade Goody.

I don't remember him making a statement last week when Natasha Richardson died suddenly, shortly after a seemingly harmless skiing accident. That was more shocking, as it was completely sudden & unexpected.

I also don't remember any Statement from the PM when Wendy Richard recently died of cancer.

Presumably he only makes statements about people with an IQ lower than their shoe size and no talent whatsoever.

It's a strange world.

PLus as popular as wendy richards was, alot of female focus has been on jade so naturally if he makes such a comment its "targeting" alot of female voters........

At least Jade has raised awareness for cervical cancer in a way that no ad campaign has managed to do. She's also made her son's futures more financially secure - I respect that. Nobody deserves to die so young. R.I.P.

But possibly not as nasty as being a racist or a bully.

At least I'm honest enough to say what I think on this forum...unlike many.

After some discussions at work last night, I discovered I'm certainly not the only one with these views.

I have nothing more to say on the subject.

Im not getting into this conversation but what I have read from some of the guys on here is truly unbelievable. God forbid it never happens to anyone around them who they love.

In my eyes Jade brought the Cervical cancer into the light and I know that many young woman are acting on it because of it.
My missus had to go for a smear last week and the doctor said they had a massive back log of woman waiting for there checks. So good on her.

RIP Jade
