Hi guys,

Has anyone ever seen this for sale and what it costs?? Might be a good addition to any rig that needs a bit more size :)

I thought that it would make a fantastic addition to any DJ who provide for weddings quite a lot. This truss would look right at home in a big marquee or hall with lots of lights on it. It look like it comes in a bag too, so I'm guessing it only takes about 10 minutes to setup :)

I bet it's a bit costly although I've never seen anything like this for sale much

ohhhh... I'm pretty sure ultimax have registered that design so could get very interesting indeed!

The problem with systems like that are that the height isnt very flexible and venue heights differ drastically. You are far better with truss and winch up stands which are a lot more flexible.

I've had one for a couple of years, it's not light structures and it's not ultimax, so there at least 3 variations of the style going around.
The advantage of this gantry is the ease of transport, and the speed of assembly. I use powerdrive wind up stands and trilite trussing as well and this is much easier for smaller gigs.

I have the LiteStructures gig-rig myself, retails at around £1000 I believe. Picked it up at a bargain of just over £200 on eBay. Good bit of kit, but more difficult to rig lights on than a typical wind up type system.

As has already been said, the main issue is at venues with a low ceiling height. When I choose to use the 'gig-rig' at a new venue, I will take a pair of wind up stands with brackets, and therefore have the ability to put together a typical wind up truss if needed.
