Well,

what a day!

First of all a lady I quoted a price for a disco 2 days ago phoned me today saying she liked the sound of me but my fee is £30 higher than any other DJ and could I lower my price and if I did she would go with me.

As always I said my prices are fixed etc.

So she said she would book a cheaper disco, which I wished her a Happy Birthday and hope she had a good night.

Then after this I recieved an email enquiry.

Within 5 minutes of it coming in I was on the phone to the customer.
He explained he had already booked a DJ for his Wedding which is in 1 weeks time and that the DJ had already let him down and had been a bit arsey on the phone so decided to send me an enquiry.

He had several concerns such as one guest is eplilectic, so I said I could get hold of some PAR Cans and put them on a DMX on a slow fade.

I gave him a price and told him I didn't want to put him in an awkward situation and pressured and to speak to his wife to be and let me know if he wanted to use my service as I understood he already had a DJ booked.

He phoned me back within the hour and has confirmed the booking with me.

I really hope the person who was booked for this was not on the forum but if they were let it be a lesson that:

:) The Customer pays you for your Service
:) You have just lost a booking for your attitude
:) Reputation & Word of mouth is a big tool in this business
:) 1 Bad gig/attitude = 10 people know, 1 good gig/attitude = 1 person knows

Anyway all in all a good day!

Just shows, there's no cost attached to a bit of manners and courtesy, and the rewards are there for all to see.
