Hi,

OK, I'll admit it now, I'm not a DJ and I don't run a mobile disco. The reason I've joined this forum is to do a little research and learn about the problems you encounter when advertising your services and taking bookings. I've recently launched a general online booking service and I'd like to produce a tailored service for mobile discos.

I'd like to know the sort of issues you face and the sort of features you'd like to see that would help with these problems.

At the moment we just provide a basic booking service with email and SMS reminders but what else would you like to see? Would it be useful to be able to take payment online (even if you had to pay a small credit card commission)? Do you often get repeat bookings or is most of your work one off?

Anyway, I'll keep quiet and just read for a while (unless you have any questions). Any suggestions on old forum threads to read would also be appreciated.

Hi Alex, welcome to the forum.

As you can imagine we do have people sign up here purely with the intention of promoting their website/service etc. so I'm afraid we'll have to remove links to your software until you've settled in a bit here.

However, please feel free to participate as normal. :)

That's not surprising Alan, there's not a lot there.
It's a little village on the A417 between Streatley on Thames and Didcot.
About 5 mins from our offices.
