Right.

I spoke to Peter Excalibur a few days ago. It seems like the best day for a dj meetup would be on a Sunday.

Country Park Inn which is just outside of Hull next to the Humber Bridge is a nice location.

Could have a meetup in the public bar area of the venue (Riverside Bar) or depending on the cost find out how much it will cost to hire the function suite for a few hours during the day. The room is very big

Could have some different sound systems to compare and give advice on. e.g. getting the best sound out of the system

bring some media controllers like the cortex, numark, denon for anyone interested in buying one.

Also some different brands of lighting effects.

Or a meetup for a few drinks in the bar area. I already know that there is a lodge on the site which costs £29.00 per night.

I reckon a good day to do this would be either Mayday or the Whitsun weekend at the end of May. (Bank Holiday Sunday)

If you have any good ideas of anything that can be done then lets hear about them and if your free and want to come tell us below and what bank holiday weekend you think is best.

cheers

John

Probably not the ideal dates John, as these are often prime Wedding dates.

I have nothing booked in so I shall be there,

If we are showing differnt pieces of equipment I shall bring my Pioneer CDJ1000's and DJM800 Mixer for anyone who wants to have a mess around.

Oke Doke. As Dan has just brought this to my attention on that weekend. Is anyone off on that weekend? or does anyone have any other sunday in mind?

Im down at Country Park Inn myself next Sat Night ive got a wedding there. So ideally could do with sorting it before 11th April ideally So i can speak to the venue with a date. Unless anyone can think of anywhere else what would be good.

Up to now i havent said anything to the venue at all.

The only Sundays I am not working I'll be in York seeing my daughter, sorry mate. Sundays in general aren't very good for me (plus I've got a wedding to save up for, my mate is getting married in London in June, that's gonna cost me a fortune :p )
