I'm thinking of creating an A4 sized PDF sheet or flyer to send back to customers / potential clients which I can attach to every email I send etc.

that way, people can print it off and have physical information and photos infront of them should they require it and it would give them a reminder of our services to keep in view in the house etc rather than on the internet. They could also pass this one to friends and family should they get asked if they know a DJ etc

As it will only be A4 sized - what info and text would you put on;

how many photos?
what sized photos?
how much text and detailed descriptions?
would you list all your services, or the main ones?
keep it simple or get as much info in as you can?

be interesting to see what people think or currently use - creatively selling your business on an A4 canvas.

Mmmm, I applaud you for thinking of ways to promote your business but I doubt many people would print out an A4 sheet of paper (especially colour) just for your information.

I think it would be better to send out reminders a few weeks before peoples anniversarries i.e. wedding anniversaries or BIG birthdays coming up etc... that you've done disco's for in the past (pressuming you keep records).

I might be wrong and if your tactic works I will probably do it too ;) :p :D

To be honest, i agree and i think a very small percentage would print it.

but its free to make and send on every email, so it cant do any harm, maybe it could be useful if a client has a friend who asks for a dj and they have retained the emails, they could print and give it to them? especially if their friend doesnt really use email or the internet - its just better than a phone number, and would show what I had to offer upfront, which may help me get the call. Or perhaps for weddings when the couple are going through deciding what they want with their parents etc and theres no PC available.

I'm doing a bit of a push at the moment to get more business in - so be prepared for a hundred more (mad/daft) ideas before the week is out! :)

Agreed.

Surely most people will just bookmark or add your website to their favourites.

That's what I'd do.

That way, all your information is only a few clicks away.
