First Booking

OK big thanks to all who posted advice on the 'If another DJ rang you thread', I now have my first booking.

It's an 80's theme night in three weeks time, I'm actually confident about the music because 80's was my era and it's probably the genre that I have most music from.

Guess I'll find out if I can do this or not

Just remember all of the invaluable advice you have been given on the forum so far, such as:

1. Don't confirm the booking in writing.
2. Insurance is for wimps.
3. If the punters ears are not bleeding you need bigger speakers and more amps.
4. Anyone that makes a "request" is actually questioning your DJing ability and should be ignored because you know best.
5. It is fashionable to arrive late.

good luck fella,

if every there was a good theme to get you started its the 80s - non stop feel good happy party music all night - and more classics than you can shake a stick at!!

do a bit of homework on what youre going to play (theres so many good songs to choose from) and play the real party stuff after the buffet (when the beer kicks in!) etc and youll love it.

Luckily the 80's has lots of good tracks to choose from, so you'll have a great night. My kind of night also :)
