I have a problem that may require surgery. I need an extra hand!
With one hand holding the mike for the intro talkover or announcement and the other on the fader I can't hit my lighting cues. I'm considering a foot controller or some sort of bendy mike stand, but what do you guys do?

Different shops, same solution as Vectis. I could not comprehend working without a corded mic on a stand. Plus of course, a radio mic when needed. And a cheaper radio mic.
And a couple of cheaper corded.
And then I also carry backup. ;)
I jest slightly, it's corded on stand, plus radio mic minimum. :D

Im going to be investing in the ryger footcontrol for the lighting, but thats only because i use Daslight :)

Is there such a thing as a bendy mike stand that will clamp to my table?

You'll be wanting a Gooseneck mic.
Trouble with these things is they're never quite in the right place. Never quite long enough, or just a bit too long.
I have an emergency spare that has an XLR plug on the end of it to go directly into the mixer. Cost about £10 from ebay.
