Good Afternoon Chums,

Long shot but here goes!!!!!

Does anyone know if there is a rack mounted sound effects unit available?

Ie - baby crying, siren, etc etc

Any ideas/links chums?

Only one I know of like that, is the Intimidation Sound Boy, it's 1U rack-mountable and contains 99 pre-set samples (which can't be changed), but you can loop them and pitch adjust them.

You could download them free from HERE (http://www.stonewashed.net/sfx.html) burn them to CD and use them as you would music.

You could use the 2u SD dual player and fill a memory card of effects. Maybe worth a try. I have seen a pc based one in collage I will look at the model and post it.

Some of the el cheapo mixers have eight or so fitted. When I get the backup mixer, I usually spend five minutes playing with the effects. Then I get bored. :D

Why not just get a HD controller and load it up with sound effects from the CD's that are available?
