Hi

I went watching we will rock you in Manchester and the lighting effects for the opening of the show were brilliant so I want to re create the effects for my disco opening which is the beginning of innuendo by queen then a dj intro

So were in the north west or on the internet is the cheapest place to buy 2 par cans 16 lighting sound lab venues light. My plan is to have the par cans on the end of my t bar lighting stand controlled by a mains switch then I am going to get one of those remote controlled extension plugs to turn it on and of and plug them into it and use them as blinders and the sound lab venues lighting for the white beams then when the intro is over put my Vango lights on and 4 way light sequencer. what do you think?

Take a look at the Thomann Par 56.

Dirt cheap and very bright as well. I have a few of them and they do the job very well for filling a room with light, or even uplighting. :)

I agree, it'll me more like 'We Will Gently Sway You' than 'We Will Rock You' :p :D

Par 56 or 64's is the way to go for a small disco set-up but you'll never get the effect you're looking for. I imagine they'd have had a vast lighting system and probably a very experienced lighting engineer (perhaps even a few of them).

Good luck though, and make sure you post some pics or vids when you're ready. :)
