Twin Microphones

I am looking for a twin microphone system for speeches and I am thinking of getting W Audio TPT-202.
Has anyone used W Audio microphones?

I am looking for a cheapish system in case the microphones get dropped or broken but I don’t want to be changing batteries every 5 minutes.
Does any one have any suggestions?

No experience with the w-Audio, but i cant fault Kams ireless rackmount system. Lost of people wouldnt touch it with a barge-ple, but ive found it perfect for most people to use, and its fairy cheap :)

You can't get away from that.......as they all (models) have a drop charge if cordless even in the off mode.

I know Shure last for about 8 hours but at £300 for a twin system it’s very expensive.

I have had a look at Kam, do you know if they do a rack mount kit for the KWM1940?
Otherwise I surpose I could use a 1U shelf.

While technically I don't disagree with that, I have found that mics with 9v batts seem not to last as long as two 1.5's. I remember a thread where it was suggested that you remove the 9v out of SM58's when not in use, to avoid this.

I don't leave the SM58 switched on longer than I need (9v), but I'll leave the AT (1.5x2) on all night. Plus the 9v batts are :Censored: expensive.

Actually I thought that was very cheap. My AT was £230 for a single.

My JTS lasts quite a few bookings ( about 5 or 6) and im on the mike

ALL NIGHT ;)

I believe it saves some battery life by removing the battery every gig--

I really cant be bothered. ;)

I have a Numark WS32 radio mike which uses more batteries than the JTS--its quality is ok and up for sale at £25 IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED

As a backup I use the KAM 1920 dual VHF.
Batteries seem to last OK , and around £90 is not bad

I use the Kam 1940 Brill set IMO. I have a W audio mic and its pathetic!
