Hi all,
Has anyone ever brought equipment from JP leisure? (www.jpleisure.co.uk)
Its just that i've found what i want at a cheap price on there (70 quid cheaper!)
but it seems that their site isn't encrypted for bank details and the like? just a little unsure about it....
thanks
Sam

I've used JP leisure on probably 6 or 7 separate occasions. Great prices and extremely helpful staff.

I agree with the first part of your post, but I wouldn't order over the phone either.
How do you know you can trust the person you are giving your details to?
For me it's automated & encrypted systems all the way.
That way, the money in my bank account is less likely to do a vanishing act.

Yep likewise i've bought a few items off them over the past few years (and through their website as well as by phone)... Never had any issues always been a great friendly service.

I totally agree, they appear to be using 'actinic shopping cart' to
collect your order and card details and using the inbuilt actinic encryption, be careful. More worring is the fact they seem to think the sale of goods act, distance selling regulations don't apply to them. IMO their returns policy is at odds with your rights in law, read them, and also the regulations, then make your own mind up. The prices are good though.

I haven't read their returns policy. I have returned an item before though with no problems.
I bought a controller from them for a high powered smoke machine of mine. They had to order the controller in for me but it turned out that the original controller I had wasn't faulty after all, and that there was an internal fault with the smoke machine. I called them up and explained that the controller I'd just bought wasn't needed after all, and explained my predicament. I understood the error was mine in the first place so I didn't really expect a refund, especially as they had to order the item in specially for me.
They refunded my money with no quibbles. Great service and very helpful. I'd have no qualms with buying from them again.

They could well be he best retailer in the UK, you were certainly treated very well with your return. Personally, their payment system alone would stop me using them, if it's the system that I'm 99.9% certain it is, there is no way I would use it.

I've had several dealings with them and can only echo what Shaun has said.
Helpful, supportive and great value
