Hk audio performer speakers

Hi everybody,
Im presently looking to purchase a hk audio system i quite like the look of the perfomer set up ,heard one on demo at TR Music, and i have to say i was blown away by the quality of this small rig.
Im used to a traditional pa system ie amps racked with seperate processer bi amped subbs and tops currently useing a great sounding relatively lightweight hz system and also a jbl rigg which isnt lightweight,so a move to a active system physically smaller in size maybe not power does concern me.
I thought i would ask my fellow djs out there to give either the thumbs up or down pros and cons or maybe you own a hk perfomer system and can tell me your opinion of how good or bad it is.

Im sure the sound quality is top notch and its a small light system.

One point that has been discussed in the past( on here I think) is not the quality but the possible physocolgical problem if your charging hundreds and hundreds of pounds and the client says--is that the sound system:confused: .

WE know it will deliver a great sound but it might cause a temporary negative vibe and worry, not good at events like Weddings where its often a first impression situation.

I expect when Peter ( Excalibur) turns up they say --:Censored: heck look at that sound system

Those kind of set ups are great.

beware though the subs on some are VERY heavy!

excellent systems.


Just consider where you will put the sub as they are often longer than you think. ie will it fit under a table or your stand? if not, will it go at the side, and if so your power and speaker cables are exposed.

and I found them to be very loud compared to a conventional system - easy loud enough for anything I ever needed.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies so far,some interesting comments the subb will go under a s and h dj booth with the satts on stands so no one will actually see the subb only the satts.
The initial impression, is a interesting one i do take the point that people will at first look and think is that the sound system but i can cope with that so long as the end result is a sound system with the quality that copes in power and clarity for jobs up to 150 people.
Dare i mention Nexo kit which is small but the quality is amazing (unfortuneatly so is the price) please keep the comments comeing thank you for those so far ,

I shouldn't worry. IMO people only notice kit if it is way too big, too small or extremely crappy!
