Hi people,
Just been given a Penguin MH-835P and I think it needs a lamp, but have no idea what lamp type it uses, can anyone help?

Also how do I get to the lamp? I dont want to go unscrewing things and making it worse

Well first have a look at its shape.

Is it:

or

Next you will need one that is 12V / 50W, see: Linky (http://www.thedjshop.co.uk/products.asp?id=1926)

Is this just as good as a T-Max or better?

I think this is the lamp (http://www.discostudio.co.uk/item.php?upn=11431&affid=froogle)

I couldn't say how good it is compared to the T-Max, your best bet is to go and compare them for yourself.

Ok just wondered because they both use the same bulb by the looks of it they both use the same bulb so guessing really they are both the same but one is heavier than the other

It depends on how good the optics are, I have a 300w light that can be beaten by a 250w light.
If you have some spare cash, have a look at the Geni XTC I have the metal version and its a good room filler.

Nah we don't have any spare cash, its just we have had 10 lights donated to the youth centre I work voluntry for and they all need bulbs.

We just need to work out if we are using them to replace our current ones or to add them, if you get what I mean.

Can't seem to work out how to get to the bulb though

You may have to take the whole cover off.
