Is this really worth it and does it make the sound better than through the standard sound card?

hay steve if this is in reply to my wanted post. if you search maya 44 there is a massive thread discussing this that I read through yesterday.

The gigaport is another option amongst others.

Yes, unless you're running Media Monkey. :(

excalibur just so i am 100% this does run on vista and also using PCDJ FX?

What do you use out of interest or do you go straight from the laptop to the mixer?

As I sit here, headphone out.
When I used the laptop as one playout channel, a Creative sound blaster.
Since I don't expect to run dedicated DJ software requiring a high spec card with two separate channels, I may get a simple external usb card again.
