bad experiance

I had a major shock today. I brought a speaker package, around 2 months ago. The price has now dropped by £400.
To buy the system separately it cost £818 but the package was £1200 on their website. As i was talking to them on the phone it dropped to £1049. Anyone else had that happen to them?
I wont be going back to that shop in a hurry because I feel like ive been robbed :mad:

Yeah. I will edit it the post to make it a bit clearer, but please try and use things like, full stops and commas. It makes everyones life so much easy. I couldn't make head or tail of it!

I thought all imported goods were rising steeply in cost as English Sterling is basically now toxic to foreigners ( as in I couldnt use Sterling in :Censored: China ) so prices would be going up---according to informed sources those shiploads from China are costing a lot more these days:eek:

While pricing up my speakers for insurance purposesi noticed that if i bought the speakers separately the price was £818 yet i paid £1200 in a package deal for the 2 speakers and sub only 2 months before.Now the sub is still £469 but the speakers had dropped £400.Now i no prices fluctuate but £400 it just dont seem right.While i was chattin to the shop in question they was altering there prices before my very eyes,But rather than knock the £400 of the total package price to £818 it was still over the £1000 mark .Hope this clears up the confusion i caused.

Products are always priced high to begin with, then drop as time goes on. I bought a Yamaha rack effects unit for my guitar a long time ago - the following WEEK Yamaha launched the newer (and better) version of it FOR LESS MONEY THAN I PAID!

However I still have the unit today and still use it; 15 years old and I still use it for guitar, PA, recording and even DJ work; it's what it's worth to you at the end of the day, not how much less it can be had for now vs. when you bought it.

The 'I bought so and so for so much yesterday its now cheaper' can be found everywhere unfortunatly. Especially when buying computers or other electrical goods.
Also sometimes manafacturers release some stock very cheap as a loss leader just to get people interested in their products. Works well sometimes other times it is a pain. I bought my cortex only to have it drop to half price 2 months later , mind you with costs going back up its nearly back to the price I paid again.

The best way, and probably most obvious as well, is to shop around.
If the price they quote is identical to those on all websites, then at least you know they're not conning you.
