Grey hair.....

After just washing my hair and drying it I came across at least 6 grey hairs at the age of 23......:Censored: I do put a rinse through my hair now and again because of this, I just wondered, at what age everyone else start to get grey hairs??? It worries me that I am still young and I am getting them already...

My daughter found one this afternoon and she's 11! :eek:

I put a dark rinse through my hair now because of it but I never used to dye my hair....it would make sense if it was down to stress because am always stressed or worried about something....I am getting hair trimmed on fri so will get my hairdresser to count them...hahaha

I remember when an while ago i was looking on internet for ways to improve condition of hair and alot of it was down to diet and amount of sleep and of course stress. Not sure if it has much to do with grey hairs etc.. however.

2 guys I went to secondary school with had grey flecks in their hair from first year. 1 of them I knew since I moved to the area & had been the same all the time I knew him (since 8)

I've had one or 2 grey hairs on my head since I was about 25 & started noticing them in my beard at around 30. It now resembles a dead badger, although oddly I still have no more on my head than I did 17 years ago

I only shave once a week, but I have loads of grey (or more like white) hairs in my "beard" (or should that say heavy stubble?).

Fortunately I don't have many on my head, and I pull out any which I discover.

Back on topic...

I've got a few grey 'flecks' but at 38 I'm not too bothered. My wife says it makes me look 'distinguished' (I think that's polite for 'old' :p ).

The amount of crap I've done to my hair in the past I'm surprised it's still all there. I'd rather be grey than bald anyday (no dig at you Peter ;) )

I think that stress causing grey is a bit of a myth but not 100% sure on that. I know it can cause alopecia [sp?] as it happened to one of my friends once. It generally grows back though (hope for you yet Peter, maybe that's the problem :p :D )

If I were you Pamela, I'd be tempted to dye it, not that there's anything wrong with it, just depends on how vain you are ;)
